Guardian of the Celestial Palace is an original contemporary linocut created by Olga Kataeva-Rochford in 2026 (15 × 10 cm). This black and white symbolist print depicts a miniature landscape enclosed in an open cage beneath a crescent moon and stars, watched over by a guardian bird. From the Envol & constellations collection, the work explores the themes of passage between worlds, inner refuge, and celestial constellations. An original print intended for lovers of poetic and symbolic contemporary art. In Guardian of the Celestial Palace, a large open cage contains a miniature landscape: a house, trees, and a path seem to float in a space suspended between earth and sky. Above this inner world, a crescent moon and several stars form a celestial vault, while a bird silently watches over the threshold. Created using the linocut technique, the work plays on the precision of the engraved line and the contrast between the black ink and the light on the paper. The cage's structure evokes sacred architecture, an imaginary aviary, and a portal to another world. The landscape seems to fit entirely within a space smaller than a dream. The trees, the house, and the paths become elements of an inner kingdom protected by the light of the constellations. The bird remains motionless at the entrance, as if guarding the passage between the visible and the invisible. Part of the Flight & Constellations collection, this print continues Olga Kataeva-Rochford's exploration of the shifting boundaries between memory, nature, and imagination. Between contemporary symbolism and magical realism, Guardian of the Celestial Palace invites the viewer to enter a secret chamber opened between the earth and the stars.
