The Barge in the Pale Morning Light—Contemporary Tempera Painting of Paris . The Blue Barges of the Pont des Arts is an original contemporary painting created with tempera on canvas (50 × 70 cm). Inspired by the banks of the Seine in Paris, this work depicts moored barges in a bluish and contemplative atmosphere. Between urban landscape and poetic painting, it evokes the Parisian winter light, the reflections of the Seine, and the river's quiet calm. This unique, signed work is part of a contemporary French painting movement that blends poetic impression, Parisian architecture, and an exploration of light. In this painting with its deep blue and silvery-gray tones, the barges of the Pont des Arts seem to glide outside of time. The Seine becomes a silent mirror where Paris is transformed into an apparition: a light city, almost erased by the winter light. The vibrant blue electric trees converse with the whiteness of the boats and the dark reflections of the water. In the distance, Parisian architecture emerges like a memory, suspended in a translucent mist. Created in tempera on canvas, this work plays on the subtle layering, transparencies, and vibrant colors characteristic of this ancient technique. The medium allows light to breathe, lending the scene a gentle, almost musical presence. Through this series dedicated to the banks of the Seine, the artist explores an intimate and contemplative Paris—that of quiet hours, when the city ceases to be mere scenery and becomes a sensation. The barges appear as fragile anchors amidst the movement of the river and the passage of time. This work is intended for collectors who appreciate poetic contemporary painting, atmospheric urban landscapes, and sensitive visions of Paris.
